THE PRIZE CAR | CHARLES SCHWAB
We reinvented prizing on the PGA Tour by creating a one-of-a-kind hand-built muscle car that is awarded to the winner of the Charles Schwab Challenge. Along with the historic tartan jacket the champion will get to rev the engine on their new muscle car.
The RYA data for golf fans is clear — after golf their next favorite genre is classic cars. That data started a now long-running tradition and created the most famous trophy in golf (at least we think so!).
2025 – The ‘92 Schwab defender
In 1992, Charles Schwab ventured out to launch the Mutual Fund One Source. So for 2025, Schwab is honoring that pioneering spirit with this one-of-a-kind 1992 Schwab Defender 110. Won by Ben Griffin.
2024 – The ‘73 Schwab STINGRAY
1975 Schwab Stingray celebrates “May Day,” a significant moment in Schwab’s history when the firm cut rates to help redefine the industry. The 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge prize car was a fully restored 1975 Schwab Stingray. Won by Davis Riley.
2023 – The ‘73 Schwab BRONCO
Whether it was taking on Wall Street from out west or implementing technological innovations—Schwab has been an industry challenger from day one. 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of Schwab's founding in 1973, such a milestone calls for an equally special car. Won by Emiliano Grillo.
2022 – The ‘79 Schwab FIREBIRD
To pay homage to Schwab’s legacy of challenging the status quo on behalf of investors, the company unveiled a prize for the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge that symbolizes its roots and embodies the spirit of innovation. Won by Sam Burns.
2021 – The ‘46 Schwab Power Wagon
To celebrate the 75 years (since 1946) that The Charles Schwab Challenge has been played at Colonial, we awarded the champion a custom hand built 1946 Schwab Power Wagon. Won by Jason Kokrak.
2019 – The ‘73 Schwab Challenger
