To generate buzz around the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge Prize car, an epic ‘79 Bandit, we commissioned country star Jake Owens to rerecord Jerry Reed’s classic song from Smokey and The Bandit… and of course we also made our usual anthem :60 for use in the weekend CBS telecast.

Our RYA data has consistently shown us that golf fans love muscle cars and that’s why Schwab asks us to create a new prize car each year to give away to the winner of the Charles Schwab Challenge.

Its turns out that country music is in their top 3 musical genres (along with hip hop and karaoke!) so it’s no wonder that this song was a hit!
